Fortune East Is In The FRIDGE!!!!

Clare is the luckiest little girl in the world; she’s seen both sets of Grandparents in the same week!  Thursday evening GG and PawPaw drove up in their ‘big truck’.  We were thrilled to see them arrive; Clare was beside herself excited.

PawPaw worked on unloading the truck while GG and Clare attempted to eat some dinner, Clare was far too excited to eat dinner, all she wanted to do was play play play.  Dinner wasn’t happening either and Clare finally announced that she was tired so bath time it was.  GG was designated as the story reader for the night so she and Clare sat down to read; it only took an hour to actually get her into bed.

Fortunately PawPaw was able to unload the truck and get the most precious cargo in the house safely, no visit from Joplin would be complete without a little Fortune East.  Yes, that’s right they brought a cooler full of Jeff’s favorite food in the world.  I have to admit, these egg rolls are far better than any other egg roll I’ve had.

When Greg went to Fortune East to get the egg rolls, and 2 quarts of sauce, they knew just what he was up to.  I think it's kind of fun to be known at a little Chinese place in Joplin Missouri.  The girl that works the counter knows us even though we only actually go there a few times a year.

That right there is 3 dozen of the best egg rolls in the world.

I can't wait to have egg rolls for the next few months, they reheat pretty well after being frozen. Yum-o!

I had to work today, but the Sweet’s stayed home to play, have tea parties, raise curtain rods, build storage shelves and most importantly, bring the refrigerator into the house!!  Yes, you read that right; we now have a fridge IN the kitchen!!!!  Jeff sent me a text message and I immediately squealed with joy in the middle of my meeting, after 4 months this is the most beautiful sight.  It may have taken a little PAM on the counter and wall to squeeze it in, but it’s in there and chilling our food on the main floor of the house, no more trips to the garage for a cool drink, it’s wonderful!!!

Yes Greg, we have some expired yogurt in our fridge :)

Tomorrow will be another full day; Clare is having a few friends and family over for cake and BBQ.
